MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's volleyball team defeated Assumption University, 3-0, in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium on Tuesday.

- Saint Anselm improves to 39-21 all-time against Assumption, including 16 of the last 17 matches.
- Freshman Mckenna O'Connell had a perfect night attacking, going seven-for-seven with 31 assists, nine digs, and seven points.
- Classmate Peyton Elward also had an efficient performance on offense, converting on .579 percent of her attacks with 11 kills, two solo blocks, and one dig for a match-high 13 points.
- Junior Hollyn Frano recorded nine kills with three service aces and two digs for 12 points.
- Junior libero Madeline Burke led all defensive players with 14 digs to go with two aces and four assists.
- The Hawks had 41 kills as a team compared to 31 for the Greyhounds while also leading in assists, 38-30, and digs, 49-45.

SET 1 | Freshman
Addison Shelton tallied two kills early in the first set as Saint Anselm built a three-point lead, 9-6. A kill from classmate
Etta Rocco followed by four consecutive attacking errors by Assumption extended the Hawk lead to seven, 17-10. Six of the next seven scores went to the Greyhounds to make it a two-score game, 18-16, but Elward halted the run with a pair of kills, sparking a 7-1 run for Saint Anselm that put the set away, 25-17.
SET 2 | Assumption took a 3-1 lead to open the second frame, but kills from Frano, Elward, and junior
Sam Pila during a 7-1 gave the Hawks an 8-4 edge. Frano and sophomore
Taylor Lacerda recorded two kills each as the offense continued to hit the ball well, keeping Saint Anselm in front, 17-12. Three straight errors from the Hawks followed by a pair of Greyhound kills made it a one-score game, 18-17. Frano came back with a kill, and O'Connell would close out the set with a kill of her own as Saint Anselm won the frame, 25-20.
SET 3 | The third set began with back-and-forth scoring that included four ties until a 4-0 run from the Hawks with two aces from Frano put Saint Anselm in front, 9-5. Assumption countered with straight scores of its own to tie things up, 12-12. All in all, the third set would have 17 ties with the Hawks prevailing, 29-27, on a final kill from Frano to complete the 3-0 sweep. Elward had five kills to lead Saint Anselm in the final frame of action.
