MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College football team extended its winning streak to four games with a 27-14 victory over Northeast 10 Conference (NE10) opponent American International College on Saturday afternoon at Grappone Stadium.
Highlights
- Junior Drew Forkner completed nine of his 14 passes, racking up 163 yards with one passing touchdown. He also scored a one-yard rushing touchdown.
- Junior Kyle Verriest led the Hawks receiving efforts, breaking 100 yards on three catches, including a long of 43.
- Senior Ronan Noke scored twice on the ground.
- Sophomore Jake Croce recorded the Hawks lone receiving touchdown while gaining 37 rushing yards and 31 receiving yards.
- Sophomore Jason Paganis led the tackling efforts with eight tackles, including two sacks.
- Junior Tanner Wolfe recorded seven tackles while Mike Weaver, Jr., Jon Hosney, Devin Lee, Hugo Silsby, and Thomas Hoffman each registered six takedowns.
- Senior Thomas Murray booted away five punts, averaging 39.4 yards per punt with a long of 43.
- The Hawks' four-game winning streak is the longest since the 2022 season when the team started the campaign 4-0.
- Saint Anselm earned its fifth consecutive win against the Yellow Jackets improved to 8-18 in the all-time series.

How it Happened
Senior Ronan Noke opened the scoring in the opening eight minutes, rushing in from two yards out to put the Hawks up 7-0 following the ensuing point after try. With 1:20 to play in the opening quarter, sophomore Jake Croce picked up a nine-yard receiving touchdown on a pass from junior Drew Forkner.
The Yellow Jackets got on the board before halftime, as Bo Catherwood scored on a five-yard rushing touchdown to make it 14-7 at the break.
Noke would get the Hawks up by 14 again with 3:51 to play in the third quarter on his second rushing touchdown of the game, this time from the one yardline.
Forkner called his own number early in the fourth to make it 27-7. On its final drive, AIC scored a 29-yard touchdown through the air, making it 27-14. The Hawks finished the game in victory formation with sophomore Nick Caro taking the final kneel-down.

The Hawks will head south to New Haven, Conn. on Saturday, Oct. 25 for a showdown against Southern Connecticut State (2-4, 2-1 NE10). Kickoff from Jess Dow Field is slated for 1:00 p.m.
