NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Saint Anselm College football freshman wide receiver Domingo Meade has been named the Northeast 10 (NE10) Rookie of the Week for the second straight week, and third time this season, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Meade made three receptions, compiling 39 yards, in Saturday night's 21-0 victory over Franklin Pierce University for the Hawks. Meade averaged 13 yards per catch, including a long of 20 yards on a touchdown hookup with junior Drew Forkner coming in the second quarter.
The shutout win marked the first of its kind for the program since Saint Anselm defeated No. 21 Assumption University on Oct. 21, 2023, blanking the Greyhounds 14-0. The Hawks also moved to 6-0 in the all-time series against Franklin Pierce, continuing its dominance against their Granite State foes.
Meade and the Hawks (4-2, 3-1 NE10), riding a three-game winning streak, look to keep the momentum going on Saturday, Oct. 18 when they play host to American International College (0-5, 0-3 NE10). Kickoff from Grappone Stadium is set for 1:00 p.m.
