PHILADELPHIA, PA. – The Saint Anselm College women's volleyball team dropped a five-set, non-conference matchup at Holy Family University, 3-2, at its Campus Center on Saturday.

- Saint Anselm is now 2-3 all-time against Holy Family, this loss being the first against the Tigers since 2008.
- Junior Hollyn Frano led the Hawks with 11.5 points on nine kills, three block assists, and a service ace with five digs.
- Freshman Mckenna O'Connell tallied a double-double with 30 assists and 11 digs, also notching three kills.
- Senior Skylar Ryan paced the Hawks with four service aces and 19 digs while assisting on five kills.
- Freshman Etta Rocco had five kills on 10 attack attempts, good for a team-best .500 hitting percentage while leading the team with five block assists and a solo block en route to 8.5 points.
How it Happened
SET 1 | The first set saw 10 ties and six lead changes, with the beginning of the frame going back-and-forth with neither team gaining more than a two-point lead. The Hawks trailed 14-13 when a kill from senior
Melis Kocak and a pair of kills from Frano put Saint Anselm ahead, 16-14. The Hawks held the lead for the remainder of the set, winning 25-22.
SET 2 | Holy Family used an early 7-0 run to build a comfortable lead for the entire set, tying the match at 1-1 with a 25-6 set win.
SET 3 | The Tigers dominated the third set as they jumped out to a 10-1 lead, eventually building a 14-point advantage, 18-4. Holy Family took a 2-1 match lead, winning the third frame, 25-10.
SET 4 | The Hawks were down 10-3 early in the fourth but flipped the script with a pair of kills from Pila, sparking an 8-1 run to tie the set at 11-11. After tying things at 11, Saint Anselm carried its momentum into a 14-3 run, capped off by three aces by senior
Skylar Ryan. Pila had four kills in the set to lead the Hawks' offensive outburst.
SET 5 | The Tigers opened the deciding set on a 4-1 run to take the early advantage, but a pair of kills from Pila and an attack error pulled the Hawks within one, 11-10. A service error and a kill from the Tigers made the score 14-11, and despite the late rally, Holy Family would close out the fifth set, winning the match, 15-13.
