Hawks Finish First at Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational on Saturday

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's track & field team started their 2025 campaign with a hot start, finishing at the top of a field of 10 teams on Saturday.
 
 
UP NEXT: 
  • Saint Anselm will travel down to the Track at New Balance in Boston Massachusetts for the River Hawk Invitational on January 24th and January 25th.
 
HIGHLIGHTS:
  • First year Patrina Ofori (Hudson, N.H.) competed in the 60 Meter Hurdles tabbing a time of 9.53.
  • Sophomore Meredith Pasquarosa (Beverly, Mass.) ran in the 300 Meters notching a time of 41.95.
  • Senior Ava O'Donnell (Raynham, Mass.) and senior Nora Conway (Stoneham, Mass.) both competed in the mile, with O'Connell grabbing a time of 5:26.77 and Conway registering a time of 5:38.18.
  • In the 3000-meter sophomore Sophia Olsen (Rochester, N.H.) finished first for the Hawks with a time of 11:34.38, while teammate Lauren-Kate Garceau (Fairfield, Vt.) followed behind with a time of 11:41.59.
  • In the 4x400 the team of junior Rebecca Cady (Lowell, Mass.), freshman Samantha Ducharme (Bedford, N.H.), junior Anyelina Martinez (Lawrence, Mass.) and Pasquarosa finished with a time of 4:06.80.
  • Sophomore Sophia Morin (Brunswick, Maine) threw a distance of 10.88 meters in the shot put.
  • In the weighted throw junior Brianne Rett (Uxbridge, Mass.) registered a personal best with a distance of 13.21 meters while teammate Morin set a school record and personal best with a distance of 13.40 meters.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Saint Anselm finished first of ten teams at the event, scoring 116 points to come out just on top of the host team Brandeis.
  • Morin tabbed a school record with her performance in the weight throw as well as a personal record.
  • Rett also grabbed a personal best on the day with her performance in the weight throw as well.
