Men's Ice Hockey Announces 2024-25 Recruiting Class

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm men's ice hockey team announced their incoming recruiting class ahead of the 2024-25 season.
 
Head coach Larry Rocha, who is entering his sixth season at the helm of the Saint Anselm program, and the Hawks will welcome seven first years (class of 2028) and add a pair of transfers. A total of nine student-athletes will fill roster spots for the Saint Anselm squad that graduated eight seniors in the spring of 2024.

"I am very excited with the men's ice hockey 2024-25 recruiting class!" said head coach Larry Rocha. "They are a very skilled group of young men that will be a wonderful addition to our team and the campus community. I look forward to helping all of them continue to develop as players, students and young men."

Rocha and the Hawks are coming off of a down year which saw the team come to a 10-18-2 overall record, with a 7-11-2 conference record. The squad qualified for the conference playoffs facing off against Franklin Pierce with a dominating 8-2 final score. The Hawks would fall in the semifinals at Assumption by a final score of 5-7.
 
Below is a look at each of the nine student-athletes joining the Saint Anselm men's hockey team for the 2024-25 season.


#2 Nick Theodos – Freshman – Defense – Tewksbury, Mass. (Hebron Academy) – EHL New England Wolves
 
Theodos joins Saint Anselm after playing on the Hebron Academy varsity team. He was also a member of the New England Wolves EHL team where he played defense during the 2023-24 academic year.  
 


#6 Michael Martignetti – Junior – Defense – Winchester, Mass. (Winchester High School) – Stonehill College
 
Martignetti joins the Hawks after playing two seasons for the Stonehill College men's ice hockey team. Martignetti saw action in 27 games at Stonehill scoring one goal and tabbing two assists.
 


#9 Brendan Manning – Freshman – Forward – Chandler, AZ (Hamilton High School) – EHL VT Lumberjacks  

Manning joins Saint Anselm after playing varsity at the Hamilton High School. He was also a member of the VT Lumberjacks EHL team where he played in two competitive seasons. During the 2023-24 campaign Manning registered 17 goals and 23 assists in 46 games played.


#10 Cam Collins – Junior – Forward – Raynham, Mass. (Saint Sebastian's School) – Stonehill College


Collins joins the Hawks after playing two seasons for the Stonehill College men's ice hockey team. Collins saw action in 41 games at Stonehill scoring three goals and tabbing eleven assists.  


#11 Conor Kelly – Freshman – Forward – Braintree, Mass. (Tilton School) – EHL NH Avalanche

Kelly joins Saint Anselm after playing four years of varsity hockey at the Tilton School. He was also a two season forward for the EHL N.H. Avalanche where over the course of 63 career games Kelly tallied 28 total points off of 15 goals and 13 assists.
 


#16 Justin Tremblay – Freshman – Forward – Bécancour, Que, Can. (Kents Hill School) – USPHL Premier Northern Cyclones

Tremblay joins the Hawks after playing the 2023-24 season for the USPHL Premier Northern Cyclones. Tremblay saw action in five games for the Cyclones notching one goal and two assists.
 


#20 Keaton Richards – Freshman – Forward – Amarillo, TX (Acellus Academy) – EHL NJ 87's
 
Richards joins Saint Anselm after playing two seasons in the EHL on the NJ 87's squad. Richards played in 68 career games tallying 23 total points on seven goals and 17 assists.
 

#22 Hunter Hoffman – Freshman – Defense – Stevensville, MD (Saints Peter & Paul High) – EHL PA Huntsmen
 
Hoffman joins the Hawks after one full year with the PA Huntsmen. Hoffman competed in a full year with the squad tabbing twenty points in 75 career games in the EHL. 
 

  
#33 Connor Peet – Freshman – Forward – Norfolk, Mass. (CATS Academy Boston) – EHL Boston Jr. Terriers

Peet joins Saint Anselm after a successful campaign in the EHL for the Boston Jr. Terriers in the 2023-24 season. Peet played in 46 games for the squad and tallied ten goals and fifteen assists. Prior to the Terriers Peet played in the CCHL for the Pembroke Lumber Kings where he played in 43 games tabbing two assists and three goals.
