Hawks Find Success in First Meet of Indoor Season

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's track & field team commenced the inaugural season at the Plymouth State Winter Class on Friday finishing second out of four teams.
 
UP NEXT: 
  • Saint Anselm will be back on Saturday January 18th at the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational in Waltham Massachusetts.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Sophomore Meredith Pasquarosa (Beverly, Mass.) finished first in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter scoring 20 points for the Hawks. In the 60 meters the sophomore tabbed a time of 7.90, and in the 200-meter a time of 26.11.
  • In the 400 meter even freshman Jessica Bremberg (Saugas, Mass.) took home first place with a time of 1:04.99.
  • Freshman Samantha Ducharme (Bedford, N.H.) scored 10 points earning first place in the 400-meter with a time of 1:39.30.
  • In the field Saint Anselm found success in the long jump and triple jump as sophomore Ava Houle (Litchfield, N.H.) notched first in both events. In the long jump the sophomore registered a 5.07-meter mark and in the triple jump tabbed a 11.20-meter mark.
  • In the throwing events junior Brianne Rett (Uxbridge, Mass.) threw a distance of 10.92 meters in shot put, earning 10 points and first place.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Saint Anselm finished second of the four teams at the event, scoring 165 points falling just short of the host team who scored 169 points on the day.
