Men's Cross Country Finishes Ninth at NE10 Championship

HOPKINTON, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College men's cross-country team competed at the Northeast-10 Championship on Sunday and finished in ninth place after a successful day of running. Three Hawks set personal best times at the event.
 

UP NEXT:
  • Saint Anselm competes next in the NCAA Division II East Region Championship on November 9th in Rochester, N.Y.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Sophomore Adam Holodowski (Milford, N.H.) set a new personal best time of 26:19.20, good for a 20th place finish.
  • The second Hawk across the finish line was junior Christian Wetzel (Pembroke, Mass.), who came in 33rd overall with a new personal best time of 26:52.44.
  • Rounding out the top three finishers for Saint Anselm was fifth-year senior Chris Hogan (Plymouth, Mass.), who took home 43rd overall with a time of 27:11.50.
  • The next three finishers for the Hawks included senior Adam Wong (Westminster, Mass.), junior Neil Harrington (Malden, Mass.), and senior Steven Cormier (Reading, Mass.). Wong placed 52nd overall with a time of 27:24.17, the best performance in his career. Harrington was right behind in 54th place with a time of 27:27.26. Cormier came in 63rd place with a time of 27:40.85.


INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Holodowski took home an All-Conference Third Team nod as the top finisher for Saint Anselm.
  • Three of the top six finishers for the Hawks registered new personal best times.
  • For the second year in a row, Saint Anselm finished in ninth place with a total of 186 points as a team.
