Women's Cross Country Claim 12th Place at Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Saint Anselm College women's cross country team competed at the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday claiming 12th place out of 36 teams with a total of 351 points.

UP NEXT:
  • Saint Anselm will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 7th competing in the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University. 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Junior Nora Conway (Stoneham, Mass.) led the way for the Hawks after finishing in 30th place with a time of 23:38.9. 
  • Not far behind her was senior Jane Harrington (Melrose, Mass.) securing 54th place after crossing the finish line in 24:10.6. Finishing in 59th place with a time of 24:18.4 was junior Ava O'Donnell (Raynham, Mass.). 
  • Senior Courtney Grzybinski (Holbrook, Mass.) and senior Kaitlyn Boles (Bedford, N.H.) both cracked the top 115 of the race placing in 104th and 113th, respectively.  
  • Senior Lauren O'Connell (North Andover, Mass.) and classmate Catherine Seibold (Stoneham, Mass.) each finished in the top 130 for the Hawks while freshman Scarlett Jedele (Coventry, R.I.) clocked in 25:30.6 to claim 143rd place. 
HAWKS SPOTLIGHT:
  • "It was a nice race and good to go up against some really talented and new competitors," said junior Ava O'Donnell (Raynham, Mass.). "Everyone ran really well today and I'm excited for the rest of the season!"
