MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College softball team is set for a Northeast-10 Conference Semifinal Round matchup with Adelphi University on Friday, May 5.
Tickets will be sold upon entry to the Janet L. Finke Field and will cost $10 for adults. Youth (under 18 years of age) and senior citizens may gain entry for $5 with students from Northeast-10 institutions admitted free of charge with valid institutional identification.

The fifth-seeded Hawks advanced to the Semifinal Round with a 2-1 win over the eighth-seeded Southern New Hampshire University on Thursday. With the win, Saint Anselm improved to 26-14-1 on the season following the win over the Penmen.
The top-seeded Panthers secured a pair of wins over Le Moyne College to close the regular season on Apr. 28. The team enters the Semifinals with a 41-6 record and is riding a 20-game winning streak.
The winner of this contest will advance to the NE10 Championship game and will meet either the second-seed in Bentley University or the sixth-seed in Assumption University on Saturday, May 6 from Garden City, N.Y.
HAWKS NOTES
- Senior Kylie Fitzpatrick (Danville, N.H.), junior Gracie O'Hara (Shrewsbury, Mass.), and sophomore Ava Caputo (Waterford, N.Y.) all collected All-Conference First Team honors on Wednesday while senior Kate Irwin (Milford, Mass.) and junior Haile Hicks (Jefferson, N.H.) were named to the Second Team.
- Fitzpatrick and O'Hara were also named to the All-Defensive Team at second base and third base respectively.
- O'Hara leads the Hawks and ranks fifth in the conference with a .397 batting average. The junior has been credited with 50 hits, 19 of which have gone for extra bases. O'Hara leads Saint Anselm with five home runs and is second with 32 runs batted in.
- Caputo is second on the squad with a .394 batting average and is the Hawks leader with 56 hits on the season. The sophomore is also the Saint Anselm leader with 33 runs batted in in 2023.
- The sophomore needs nine hits to reach 100 for her collegiate career as she sits on 91 in 80 career games.
- Fitzpatrick and Irwin are third and fourth on the roster with .385 and .343 batting averages while sophomore Alyssa Wironen (Leominster, Mass.) is fifth at .293.
- Irwin leads the Hawks with 17 stolen bases this season in 19 attempts, good for a 0.895 stolen base percentage.
- Hicks has totaled 145.0 innings pitched this season in 24 appearances, 21 of which have been starts. The junior has an earned-run average of 1.30 which is second lowest in the conference and has 176 strikeouts.
- Sophomore Sophia DiPippo (Cranston, R.I.) has drawn 16 starts while senior Ava Vincequere (Shrewsbury, Mass.) has started in each of her last three appearances and gone the distance in each of them.
- The Hawks defense is operating at a 0.959 fielding percentage which ranks sixth in the conference. The team has committed 47 errors in 1,141 chances.
SCOUTING ADELPHI
- Courtney Wengryn, an All-Conference Second Team selection, leads the Panthers offense with a .391 batting average. Wengryn is the Adelphi leader with 59 hits and with 36 runs batted in. She is tied for the Adelphi lead with four home runs this season.
- Zee Zee Shreter is second on the team with a .348 batting average, coming from 47 hits. Shreter ranks second on the roster with 26 runs batted in.
- Brianna Fischer, the conference's Rookie of the Year, is third on the squad with a .337 batting average and is tied for the team lead with four big flies.
- Jordyn Pasqueralli has stolen 18 bases in 21 attempts which is sixth most in the NE10.
- Lindsey Hibbs, the NE10 Pitcher of the Year and a First Team selection, has made 31 appearances, 24 of which have been starts from the pitching circle for Adelphi. Hibbs has a league-best 0.56 earned-run average in 187.2 innings pitched. Hibbs fanned a conference-record of 344 batters this season.
- Adelphi ranks second in the conference with a 0.965 fielding percentage. The Panthers have committed 46 errors in 1,332 total chances this season.
ALL-TIME, NE10 POSTSEASON
- The Hawks are making their 19th appearance in the NE10 postseason. Saint Anselm is 24-22 all-time in the conference tournament.
- Saint Anselm has made three appearances in the Championship Final, all of which have come in the last three seasons. The Hawks have won two conference titles and finished as the runner-up once.
- Saint Anselm and Adelphi have met in each of the last three conference championship games and are meeting in the NE10 postseason for the fourth time in the last five seasons, including in each of the last three conference championship games.

- The Hawks and Panthers have met 26 times in the all-time series. Adelphi holds a 14-11-1 advantage over Saint Anselm.
- The sides split a NE10 doubleheader to open the conference slate on Mar. 24. The Hawks took game one by a 3-2 score in 10 innings in game one before the Panthers responded with a 9-6 win in game two.
