MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior pitcher Morgan Perry (Bethany, Conn.) of the nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College softball team was named Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Perry has guided the Hawks to a 10-2 record, earning six wins in her six starts on the season. This past week, she earned three wins, throwing 20 innings while striking out 29 batters. She yielded only six hits and two earned runs on the week.
Against Cedarville on Feb. 28, she threw her first collegiate no-hitter and the first by a Saint Anselm pitcher since the 2002 season. Across six innings, she fanned 10 batters and allowed only one batter to reach via walk.
Versus Western Oregon on Saturday, she fired seven innings of two-hit ball while retiring 10 batters via strikeout. She followed up that performance with nine strikeouts against Grand Valley State on Mar. 1, conceding just one run on four hits.
Against Western Oregon, Perry became the all-time leader in pitching victories for the Hawks with 62 across her four-year career. Across 95 games on the Hilltop, Perry has recorded a 63-21 record with a 1.90 earned-run average while striking out 524 batters in 538 innings of work.
Perry leads the NE10 in pitching victories (six), doubling up the second place pitcher. Her 64 strikeouts are 26 more than her teammate, McKenna Smith (Old Town, Maine). No other pitcher in the NE10 has more than 19 strikeouts to her credit.
Saint Anselm returns to action Tuesday, Mar. 3 for a doubleheader against Concordia-St. Paul and Gannon beginning at 10:15 a.m. in Auburndale, Fla.
