CONCORD, N.H. — The Saint Anselm College men's golf team finished third at the Granite State Opener following the second and final round at Beaver Meadow Golf Course on Thursday.
The Hawks carded a three-over 291 in the final round to finish the tournament at 11-over. Bentley captured the team title at one-over, while Southern New Hampshire finished second at eight-over.
How it Happened
- Junior Brandon Vitarisi finished fifth individually at one-under for the tournament after carding a one-over 73 in the final round. Vitarisi recorded three birdies on Thursday, including back-to-back birdies on the 17th and 18th holes to close out the tournament.
- Junior Jack Murray fired an even-par 72 to finish tied for sixth at three-over overall. Murray carded all three of his birdies on the front nine en route to a three-under 33 at the turn.
- Senior Brady Warren joined Murray in a tie for sixth at three-over after shooting a one-over 73. Warren opened with a two-under 34 on the front nine, highlighted by three birdies.
- Sophomore Carter Browning carded a one-over 73 to finish 12th at seven-over for the tournament. Browning recorded five birdies in the final round, including three on the back nine.
- Sophomore Aidan Finn shot a six-over 78 to finish 19th at 15-over, while junior Charles Conway finished tied for 16th at 12-over after carding a seven-over 79.
- Competing as an individual, junior Joe Aronis finished 20th at 16-over following a seven-over 79 in the final round.

The Hawks return to Concord on Monday, Sept. 28 for the opening round of the Penmen Fall Invitational at Concord Country Club. The two-day tournament, hosted by Southern New Hampshire, begins at 9 a.m. on Monday before concluding on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
