CONCORD, N.H. — The Saint Anselm College men's golf team sits in third place following the opening round of the Granite State Opener at Beaver Meadow Golf Course on Wednesday.
The Hawks carded a team score of 296 (+8) on the par-72, 6,364-yard course. Bentley leads the three-team field at even par, while Southern New Hampshire sits in second at four-over.
How it Happened
- Junior Brandon Vitarisi led the Hawks with a two-under 70, matching his season-low round from last season. Vitarisi is tied for second individually after recording four birdies and an eagle, highlighted by a four-under 32 on the front nine.
- Senior Brady Warren finished the opening round tied for seventh after carding a two-over 74. Warren played the front nine at even par before carding a two-over 38 on the back nine.
- Junior Jack Murray sits tied for 10th after shooting a three-over 75. Murray carded three birdies, including back-to-back birdies on the 10th and 11th holes, and played the back nine at even par.
- Charles Conway finished in 13th place with a five-over 77, while Carter Browning followed in 14th with a six-over 78.
- Aidan Finn shot a nine-over 81 and is tied for 17th.
- Competing as an individual, Joe Aronis also finished at nine-over with an 81, tying Finn for 17th.
