MANCHESTER, N.H. – Saint Anselm College Director of Athletic Communications Nick Perenick announced the hiring of Danielle McCarthy as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications on Tuesday morning.

McCarthy arrives on the Hilltop after serving as the Director of Athletic Communications at Franklin Pierce University since August 2024. In that role, managed all digital content, social media strategy, photography, videography, and graphic design initiatives that enhanced the visibility of Ravens Athletics. In addition, she oversaw game operations and event logistics for multiple athletic programs.

"We are thrilled to welcome Danielle to Saint Anselm College," said Perenick. "Her experience in athletic communications, event operations, and digital media will be a tremendous asset to our department. Danielle has demonstrated a strong ability to tell the stories of student-athletes while managing the many moving parts that contribute to a successful athletics communications operation. Her passion for collegiate athletics and commitment to excellence make her an outstanding addition to our staff."

Prior to her role at Franklin Pierce, McCarthy served as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Misericordia University from August 2023 through August 2024. During her time with the Cougars, she maintained website content and digital archives, managed social media content, assisted with event coverage and logistics for numerous athletic events, and supported game-day operations. McCarthy helped serve as a communications coordinator for the baseball team's trip to the NCAA DIII World Series where the Cougars went on to capture their first national championship in program history.

McCarthy began her career in athletic communications as a Student Assistant at Western New England University, where she gained experience in live event operations, streaming, equipment management, game-day logistics, and social media content creation. She was also a team captain for the Golden Bears' women's soccer program and served on the institution's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

"I am honored to join Saint Anselm College and the Hawks Athletics family," said McCarthy. "The opportunity to be part of a department with such a strong tradition of excellence is incredibly exciting. I look forward to building relationships with our student-athletes, coaches, and staff while contributing to the continued success and growth of Hawks Athletics.
