NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Eight Saint Anselm College student-athletes were selected to the Northeast 10 Conference (NE10) Academic All-Conference team for the 2026 spring season, the league announced on Thursday.
Senior Rose Reitmeyer, junior Brooke Tardugno, and sophomore Alexa Salafia of the softball team, seniors Irene Garbo and Natalia Gonzalez Ramos of the women's tennis team, sophomores Eddie O'Brien and Matt Lemay of the men's lacrosse team and senior Brianne Rett of women's outdoor track and field were all selected to the NE10's Spring Academic All-Conference Team.
To be eligible for the NE10's Academic All-Conference Team, student athletes must have been named to their sport's All-Conference Team's (First, Second, Third, or Defensive), they must have spent at least two consecutive semester at their institution as a full-time student, and they must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.30.
In total, 179 student-athletes across the NE10 earned recognition for the spring season, with Adelphi University leading the way with 42 and Southern Connecticut State University in second with 24. Women's Lacrosse led all spring sports with 34 selections.
Reitmeyer capped off one of the most decorated seasons in program history by earning D2CCA East Region Player of the Year, Northeast 10 Player of the Year, and NFCA All-East Region First Team honors. The Oxford, Conn. native batted .365 with 62 hits, 48 runs scored, and a program-record 16 home runs. She led the NE10 in home runs, slugging percentage (.782), and OPS (1.221), while finishing second in RBI with 54. Reitmeyer graduated as Saint Anselm's all-time leader in both home runs (27) and RBI (115).
Tardugno collected Academic All-Conference honors after earning NE10 All-Conference Third Team recognition. The Computer Science and Data Science and Analytics double major hit .311 with 52 hits, a team-high 50 runs scored, and a program-record 36 stolen bases while starting 52 games at third base. She also ranked among the conference leaders with 18 doubles and posted a team-best 3.94 GPA.
Salafia's selection recognizes her contributions both at the plate and in the circle during her sophomore season. The versatile Hawk recorded 30 hits, including eight doubles and two home runs, while driving in 16 runs. She also made 21 appearances as a pitcher, tossing 49 complete innings.
Garbo anchored the Hawks at the No. 1 singles position, posting a 9-3 record during the regular season to earn First Team All-Conference accolades. Eight of her nine victories came in straight sets, including a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win against Assumption. She was also recognized as the NE10 Player of the Week after earning a 6-1, 6-0 victory over her opponent from Bentley.
González Ramos earned All-Conference recognition after compiling an 8-4 record at No. 3 singles during her senior season. Five of her victories came in straight sets, highlighted by a 6-3, 6-1 triumph over Southern New Hampshire in October.
Lemay earned Academic All-Conference recognition after being named a USILA First Team All-North Region selection, NEILA First Team All-New England honoree, and First Team NE10 All-Conference pick. He finished the season among the conference leaders with 33 goals and 54 points.
O'Brien also collected multiple postseason accolades, earning First Team All-New England honors from NEILA, USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America Honorable Mention recognition, and USILA Third Team All-North Region honors. The sophomore midfielder totaled 21 goals and five assists for 26 points during the season.
From the women's outdoor track and field team, Rett earned NE10 All-Conference honors during the outdoor season after placing third in the shot put at the NE10 Championships with a mark of 11.93 meters. The sociology major also added a fifth-place finish in the discus throw with a mark of 37.12 meters.
