The Hawks broke the game open in the third inning, capitalizing on a pair of errors before Fox delivered a two-run single to extend the lead to 5-1.

Saint Anselm continued to add on in the fourth with RBI production from Tardugno and Reitmeyer, pushing the advantage to 7-1.

Wrinn added a solo home run in the fifth, and the Hawks scored the winning run thanks to a single and stolen base from Tardugno, her 33rd of the season, breaking the Hawks' single-season program record, before coming in to score on an error to secure the 9-1 victory.
