MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College softball team split a Northeast 10 Conference doubleheader with Pace University, earning a 2-1 victory in game one before falling 4-1 in the nightcap on Friday afternoon at the South Athletic Field.
Game 1: Saint Anselm 2 (20-25, 12-17 NE10), Pace 1 (21-24, 11-18 NE10)

- Senior Kendra Lee improved to 10-10 in the circle, tossing a complete game for the 11th time this year, while allowing five hits and one earned run with five strikeouts.
- Sophomore Zaynah Wotkowicz hit a solo home run, her second of the season, finishing 1-2 with a run batted in and one run scored.
- Junior Caitlyn Duquette went 1-3 with the game-winning RBI single in the sixth.
- Junior Brooke Tardugno finished 1-3 with a double and one run scored.
- Senior Rose Reitmeyer went 1-2 with a walk, while junior Abby Wrinn and junior Sarah Cipriani each recorded a hit.
How it Happened
Pace struck first in the opening inning, using a double and an RBI single to take a 1-0 lead.
Lee settled in from there, retiring multiple batters in order and limiting further damage over the next four innings.
The Hawks broke through in the fifth as Wotkowicz launched a solo home run to right center to tie the game at 1-1. Later in the inning, Tardugno doubled and came around to score on an RBI single from Duquette, giving Saint Anselm a 2-1 advantage.
Lee worked around a baserunner in the seventh, closing out the complete game effort to secure the victory.
Game 2: Pace 4 (22-24, 12-18 NE10), Saint Anselm 1 (20-26, 12-18 NE10)

- Saint Anselm is now 24-24 all-time against Pace after splitting today's doubleheader.
- Cipriani led the Hawks at the plate, going 2-3 with one run batted in.

Pace opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single to take a 1-0 lead.
Saint Anselm answered in the fourth as Duquette doubled and later scored on an RBI single from Cipriani to even the game at 1-1.
The game remained tied until the seventh inning, when Pace broke through with three runs on five hits, highlighted by a two-run double to take a 4-1 lead.
The Hawks were unable to respond in the bottom half, as Pace held on to earn the split with a 4-1 victory.
