MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm softball team dropped both ends of a Northeast 10 doubleheader to No. 21 Franklin Pierce University at the South Athletic Fields on Monday, falling 10-0 in five innings in game one before a 10-3 decision in the nightcap.

How it Happened
Franklin Pierce broke through in the second with an RBI single before erupting for four runs in the third to take a 5-0 lead.
The Ravens continued to apply pressure in the fourth, using a two-run home run from Maisie Lerette to extend the advantage to 8-0. Franklin Pierce added two more runs in the fifth to push the lead to 10-0.
Saint Anselm put runners on in multiple innings, including a scoring opportunity in the second, but could not break through as the Ravens secured the five-inning victory.

- Saint Anselm falls 70-25 all-time against Franklin Pierce, having lost five straight games in the series.
- Junior Mackenzie Bergen took the loss, falling to 7-5 after allowing eight runs over five innings.
- Salafia allowed two runs (one earned) over two innings in relief. Salafia also added two hits at the plate.
- Tardugno led the offense, going 2-3 with a double, two runs scored, two stolen bases, and an RBI. She now has 29 stolen bases on the season, leading the NE10 while ranking fourth all-time in program history, three off the record of 32 set by Shannon Colson in 2018.
- Reitmeyer finished 1-3 with a walk and an RBI, Duquette went 1-2 with two RBI, and Fox went 1-3 with a single.
How it Happened
Saint Anselm struck first in the opening inning, as Tardugno reached and came around to score on a sacrifice fly from Duquette to take a 1-0 lead.
Franklin Pierce responded in the second, plating four runs on five hits to jump in front 4-1.
After a scoreless third and fourth, the Ravens broke the game open in the fifth, scoring four runs highlighted by a three-run double from Danica Nielsen and an RBI triple from Camryn Van Valkenburgh to extend the lead to 8-1.
The Hawks answered in the bottom half of the fifth, as Trisket doubled before Tardugno and Reitmeyer delivered back-to-back RBI singles to cut the deficit to 8-3.
Franklin Pierce added insurance runs in the sixth and seventh, while Saint Anselm loaded the bases in the final frame but could not capitalize as the Ravens completed the sweep.
