MANCHESTER, N.H. – The No. 20 Saint Anselm College women's lacrosse team suffered a 17-9 setback against Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon at Grappone Stadium on Lacrosse Alumni Day.

- Senior Elyse Scales registered two ground balls, two draw controls, and one caused turnover.
- The Hawks controlled the draw, 15-14, and went a perfect 14-for-14 on clears.
How it Happened
Southern Connecticut State took an early 4-0 lead, notching four goals in the opening 4:55 of action. The Hawks responded with a four-goal swing of their own to tie the contest at 4-4 with 10:40 remaining in the opening half.
The Owls went on to record the game's next four tallies to take an 8-4 lead with 1:04 until the break. Their lead was cut to three as Herrick scored on an assist from Mawn with just 23 seconds left until the half's conclusion to make it 8-5.
Nearly four minutes into the third, SCSU regained its four-goal lead before Hill scored the next two goals to bring the Hawks back to within two. The Owls capped off the third quarter with a 6-0 run, including four man-up goals, to jump out to a 15-7 advantage.
Davis recorded a man-down tally 16 seconds into the fourth a draw control by the Hawks before the Owls responded with two consecutive goals. Rowley found the back of the net for the second time in the contest with 6:10 to play, which marked the game's final goal.
