MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior
Rose Reitmeyer tied the Saint Anselm College softball team's single-season program record with her 12th home run of the year as the Hawks dropped a pair of Northeast 10 Conference matchups against No. 21 Franklin Pierce University, 9-1 in five innings and 13-3, at the South Athletic Fields on Saturday.
Game 1: Franklin Pierce 9 (29-4, 19-2 NE10), Saint Anselm 1 (18-21, 10-13 NE10) – 5 inn.

- Senior Kendra Lee took the loss in the circle, falling to 8-9 after allowing six runs over 3.1 innings with two strikeouts.
- Sophomore Alexa Salafia allowed three runs over 1.2 innings in relief.
- Senior Rose Reitmeyer reached base three times, going 1-1 with two walks and a run scored.
- Junior Caitlyn Duquette went 1-2 and was hit by a pitch.

How it Happened
After a scoreless first inning, Franklin Pierce broke through in the second, capitalizing on defensive miscues to score three runs and take an early lead.
The Ravens put the game out of reach in the fourth, plating six runs on three hits, highlighted by a three-run home run from Alicia Ott to extend the advantage to 9-0.
Saint Anselm broke through in the fifth, as
Rose Reitmeyer worked a walk before advancing around to score on an RBI single from
Abby Wrinn.
The Hawks were unable to generate additional offense as Franklin Pierce secured the 9-1 victory.
Game 2: Franklin Pierce 13 (30-4, 20-2 NE10), Saint Anselm 3 (18-22, 10-14 NE10)
Highlights
- Saint Anselm falls 70-23 all-time against Franklin Pierce, having lost three straight games in the series.
- Junior Mackenzie Bergen took the loss, falling to 7-4 on the season, allowing five runs (one earned) over three innings.
- Reitmeyer led the offense, going 2-4 with two home runs and two runs batted in. With her 12th home run of the season, Reitmeyer adds to her NE10 leading mark and is now tied for first in the Hawks' record book for home runs in a single season.
- Reitmeyer ties the mark Amy Parece set in 1999, and she is also tied for second in home runs by a Hawk in their career, one behind the record of 24 set by Nicole Boucher from 2011-14.
- Junior Sarah Cipriani finished 2-3 with a double.
- Duquette and Trisket each added hits while sophomore Katie Fox went 1-3 with an RBI.
- Junior Brooke Tardugno went 1-4, scoring once while stealing her 27th base of the season.

Franklin Pierce struck early with three runs in the first inning before adding two more in the third to take a 5-1 lead.
Saint Anselm responded with runs in the first and third innings, including a solo home run from Reitmeyer and an RBI single from Fox to stay within striking distance.
The Ravens extended their lead in the fifth, taking advantage of defensive miscues to plate three runs and push the advantage to 8-2.
Franklin Pierce broke the game open in the seventh, scoring five runs, highlighted by a three-run home run from Zoey Galindo.
Reitmeyer added her second home run of the game in the bottom of the seventh, but the Hawks could not mount a comeback as the Ravens completed the doubleheader sweep.
