OCEANSIDE, N.Y. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team opened its spring schedule, dropping a Northeast 10 Conference matchup to No. 29 Adelphi University, 6-1, at the Point Set Indoor Tennis and Pickleball Club on Saturday.

Doubles (2, 3, 1)

• Senior Julie Börschig and junior Claire Kochenbach lost on the third court 2-6 to Genesis Beltran and Sarah Lindeman.
• Senior Camila Heredia Osante and sophomore Polina Makarenko dropped their match 2-6 on the No. 2 court to Zuzanna Witkowska and Oda Solevag Halvorsen.
• The senior duo of Irene Garbo and Natalia Gonzalez Ramos fell 3-6 at No. 1 to Katrina Liedbeck and Roisin Boyd.

Singles (2, 6, 3, 5, 1, 4)

• Senior Natalia Gonzalez Ramos fell on No. 3, 1-6, 2-6, to Solevag Halvorsen.
• Garbo lost in another long match on the first court, 4-6, 6-3, 4-6, to Liedbeck.
• Heredia Osante fell on No. 5 to Lindeman, 6-7, 2-6.
• Kochenbach dropped her matchup to Matilda Buchen on No. 6, 1-6, 3-6.
• Makarenko picked up a point for the Hawks with a win on No. 4, defeating Kayla Castellano in the longest match of the day, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.
