MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior
Anna Nelson and junior
Elise MacNair of the Saint Anselm College women's basketball team were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes women's basketball student-athletes in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® nominees must play in 90% of their teams' matches and record at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, with graduate students needing a 3.50 GPA or better at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Nelson and MacNair make their CSC Academic All-District Team debuts after playing major roles in the Hawks' success this season, while posting GPAs over 3.50 in the classroom. Nelson is a Finance and Business Administration double major, and MacNair is a Finance and International Relations double major.
Nelson posted a 3.7 cumulative GPA while starting all 23 games for the Hawks, averaging 33.7 minutes per game, the third-highest mark on the team. Nelson led the Hawks with an 87.5% (21-24) shooting percentage from the free throw line while ranking second on the team in assists per game (2.3) and three pointers made (41).
Nelson put up career-highs in every statistical category this year, averaging 8.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. In three years at Saint Anselm, Nelson posted 366 points, 142 rebounds, and 116 assists, with 28 steals and five blocks, playing in 78 games.
MacNair was selected to the Northeast 10's All-Conference Third Team, her first career All-Conference nod, and now makes her debut on the Academic All-District Team for her work in the classroom and on the court. MacNair posted a 3.73 GPA while leading the NE10 in minutes per game at 35.9, starting all 16 games she appeared in this season.
MacNair was second on the team in scoring, averaging 13.0 points per contest, the 11th-best mark in the NE10. She also ranked second on the team in field goal and three-point percentage, finishing the year shooting 44.3% from the floor and 36.5% from deep. MacNair was third on the team in rebounding, averaging 5.3 boards per game.
MacNair scored in double-figures in 10 games, tallied 20+ points three times, and recorded one double-double. The junior from Old Orchard Beach, Maine, had 14 steals and 10 blocks, the third-most steals and tied for the second-most blocked shots on the squad.
About College Sports Communicators
College Sports Communicators (CSC) was founded in 1957 and is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative, and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The current name of the organization was adopted following a member-wide vote on Aug. 31, 2022.
From its founding in 1957 until the 2022 name change, the organization was known as the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The name change signaled a major step in a larger strategic plan to highlight the association's evolution and expansion. The move better aligns with the association's membership makeup and further positions the organization to support and advocate for its members who serve in the communications, digital, and creative sports industry, regardless of position or title.
The organization, which celebrated its 65th year during the 2021-22 academic year, is the second-oldest management association in all intercollegiate athletics. College Sports Communicators became an affiliated partner with NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) in December 2008.
