How it Happened
Tardugno led off the game with a triple, and Reitmeyer ripped a home run to center field with the very next at bat to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead in the first. Felician tied the game in the bottom of the first after a double and triple in back-to-back at-bats.
Tardugno's second triple in as many innings plated another run for the Hawks as they regained the lead, 3-2. Trisket added to the lead with an RBI double in the fourth, and with the bases loaded, Duquette came through with a two-RBI single to make it 6-2.
Reitmeyer launched her second home run of the game over the left field wall in the sixth as Saint Anselm led 7-2, but the Golden Falcons put together a two-out rally in the bottom half of the sixth, hitting seven consecutive singles to give Felician a 9-7 lead going into the seventh.
Down to their last out in the seventh, the Hawks loaded the bases with a pair of walks and an error by the catcher, giving Saint Anselm the chance to tie the game on a wild pitch as both the runners from second and third base came around to score. Felician had runners on second and third in the bottom of the seventh with a chance to win, but Lee got out of the jam after a nice play at short from sophomore
