NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Freshman Kendall Herrick of the Saint Anselm College women's lacrosse team was named the Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon, following a four-point performance in her collegiate debut on Saturday.

Herrick recorded a hat trick and one assist to finish with four points as the Hawks raced past Roberts Wesleyan University, 14-4, in the season opener in Rochester, N.Y. The Medfield, Mass. native scored her three goals with just three shots on goal and added two draw controls and one ground ball.

Herrick and the Hawks (1-0) will return to action on Thursday, March 5 with a non-conference neutral-site contest against Kutztown University (1-0). The game will be played in West Hartford, Conn. on the campus of the University of Saint Joseph, with the opening draw slated for 2:00 p.m.
