ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Paced by a seven-point outing from junior Alyssa Hill, the Saint Anselm College women's lacrosse team won its season-opening contest at Roberts Wesleyan University, 14-4, on Saturday afternoon at Redhawks Field.

- Hill led the Hawks in points with seven, coming from six assists and one free-position goal.
- Freshman Kendall Herrick posted a hat trick in her collegiate debut as she collected four points.
- Junior Lucy Mawn recorded a hat trick on four shots on goal, a team-high, while junior Julia Rowley and sophomore Ayla McDermod each found the back of the net twice.
- Senior captain Brianna Fruci posted a pair of helpers while sophomore Olivia O'Rourke, junior Kyra O'Connell, and sophomore Devan Spinale each notched one goal.
- McDermod led the Hawks in three statistical categories, notching five ground balls, four draw controls, and two caused turnovers in the victory.
- Sophomore Aiko Fujita made three stops as she earned the win in goal, while junior Madelin Dunbar made two stops over the final 23:45.
- Saint Anselm outshot the Redhawks, 18-7, and went 16-for-17 (94.1%) on clearing attempts.
- The Hawks scooped up 14 ground balls compared to Roberts Wesleyan's eight and won the draw control battle, 11-8.
- Saint Anselm went 3-for-7 (42.9%) on woman-up situations.
- Saint Anselm is now 3-0 in the all-time series against Roberts Wesleyan, dating back to the 2024 campaign.
How it Happened
Saint Anselm got out to a 9-0 lead in the opening 20:28 of action, with Mawn and Herrick each scoring a pair in that span. The Redhawks got on the board with 3:09 before halftime, but the Hawks responded with a woman-up goal off the Rowley to regain their nine-goal advantage before the break.
The Hawks scored three-straight coming out of the locker room to make it 13-1 after three quarters of play. Roberts Wesleyan outscored Saint Anselm, 3-1, in the final frame, but could not catch up as the Hawks cruised to a season-opening non-conference victory on the road.
