MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team was defeated by Assumption University, 4-2, in a New England Women's Hockey Alliance matchup on Saturday afternoon at Sullivan Arena.

- Saint Anselm now leads the all-time series, dating back to 2023-24, against Assumption with a 7-4-1 record.
How it Happened
Saint Anselm got on the board 1:12 before the first intermission as Waldo tucked a shot into the top corner.
Assumption scored the next two goals of the contest to take a 2-1 lead 2:43 into the third period. Saint Anselm tied the game with 6:34 to play in regulation on a Schneiderhan goal, but the Greyhounds answered just 1:01 later to regain their one-goal advantage. Assumption's empty net goal with 1:58 to play sealed the weekend sweep.

The Hawks (15-16-1, 15-10-1 NEWHA) will face off against Franklin Pierce University (18-10-2, 17-7-2 NEWHA) in the final weekend of the season on Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15 in a home-and-home series.
