MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team opened up its second-half slate with a New England Women's Hockey Alliance matchup against Stonehill College on Friday night at Sullivan Arena, falling by a final score of 4-1.
- Senior captain Brooklyn Schneiderhan scored the Hawks' lone goal.
- Sophomore Lucy DeCoteau and freshman Lauren Waldo each provided assists.
- Freshman Ava Hunter went 7-for-10 (70%) at the faceoff dot.
- Four different skaters posted a pair of blocked shots.
- Freshman goaltender Kayla Czukoski made 33 saves in the loss.
- The Hawks outshot the Skyhawks, 37-33.
- Saint Anselm's penalty kill units blanked the Skyhawks on all three of their power play opportunities.
How it Happened
Stonehill got on the board just 6:27 into the opening frame as part of a three-goal first period, with Reagan Whynot posting a goal and an assist as the Skyhawks took a 3-0 lead.
The Hawks converted on a power play opportunity late in the first as senior captain Brooklyn Schneiderhan posted her 13th goal of the season to cut the deficit to two going into the intermission.
The next goal would come with 40 seconds remaining in regulation as Bailey Feeney of Stonehill scored an empty net goal to seal the Skyhawk victory, 4-1.

Saint Anselm (11-9-1, 11-3-1 NEWHA) will travel to face Stonehill (9-11-1, 9-5-1 NEWHA) for the final time in the 2025-26 campaign on Saturday, Jan. 10 with a 2:00 p.m. puck drop scheduled from Bridgewater Ice Arena.
