How it Happened

Schneiderhan lit the lamp 12:14 into the opening frame on a backhand shot into the top right corner to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. With 5:05 remaining in the period, Saint Michael's responded as Kyler Weatherred scored on a feed from Brianna Jarvis.

The Hawks regained their lead just 45 seconds into the second period as Webber went coast to coast to make it 2-1.

Saint Anselm scored its first of two powerplay goals 4:04 into the second period as junior Hailey Tullo took an entry pass from sophomore Eden Granley and slid a shot through the five-hole to give the Hawks' their first two-goal lead.

Schneiderhan's second goal of the contest came on the powerplay with 13:34 left in regulation, firing in a short-side wrister to make it 4-1.

Saint Michael's responded with a powerplay goal of its own with just 2:25 to play, but could not mount a comeback as Saint Anselm secured the sweep.
