CHESTER, Pa. – The second-ranked Saint Anselm College field hockey team was shut out by No. 4 Shippensburg in a non-conference clash at Widener University's Edith R. Dixon Field on Saturday afternoon, falling by a final score of 4-0.

Shippensburg put the pressure on early, scoring 8:53 into the first quarter. Just under eight minutes into the second quarter, the Raiders doubled their lead. With 5:21 left in the half, Shippensburg took a 3-0 advantage.
Despite five penalty corners in the fourth quarter, the Hawks were unable to convert and also surrendered one final goal.
