Second Round Complete: Men's Golf Drops to 19th After Round Two of NCAA Atlantic/East Regional

ERIE, Pa. – After two rounds of the 2025 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional, the Saint Anselm College men's golf team sits in 19th place, having posted a team score of +47 on Friday to put them at a total of +80 through 36 holes. Sophomore Brady Warren (Lynn, Mass.) led the Hawks in round two with a score of 81 (+9), bringing his tournament total to a team-best 161 strokes (+17).
 



NEXT UP:

  • The third and final round of the NCAA Division II Atlantic East Regional takes place on Saturday, May 10th. Saint Anselm is scheduled to tee off at 7:30 a.m. at Whispering Woods Golf Club.
 

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Warren carded a team-best score of 81 (+9) on Friday. He recorded a birdie on the 12th hole and made par on 11 others. His two-round total of 161 (+17) is the best on the team and has him sitting in a tie for 67th place entering the final round.
  • Senior Michael Papamechail (Danvers, Mass.) shot an 84 (+12) in round two, highlighted by a birdie on the seventh hole. He now sits at 169 strokes (+25) for the tournament.
  • Freshman Brandon Vitarisi (Reading, Mass.) posted an 85 (+13) on Friday, bringing his tournament total to 164 (+20), the second-best score on the team.
  • Freshman Nick Nowak (Amherst, N.H.) improved by seven strokes from his first round with a score 85 (+13) in round two. He currently stands at 177 strokes (+33) overall.
  • Freshman Nicholas Emery (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished with a score of 89 (+17) on Friday. He notched a birdie on the par three 11th hole. His tournament score is 166 (+22) through 36 holes.
  • After two rounds, Gannon is in first place out of 20 teams. They combined for a score of +1 in Friday's second round after turning in a +11 score through the first 18 holes. That puts them at +12 for the tournament, six strokes clear of second-place Davis & Elkins.
