Football Announces 10-Game 2025 Schedule

5/22/2025 4:40:00 PM

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Saint Anselm College football has announced its schedule for the 2025 season, marking the program's 60th season overall and its 27th since returning to the Hilltop in 1999. The 10-game slate features seven Northeast 10 (NE10) conference matchups.

The Hawks are coming off a third-place finish in the NE10 in 2024, posting a 5-3 conference record. After becoming the first team in the modern era to record back-to-back winning seasons in NE10 play last year, the Hawks have now accomplished the feat in three straight campaigns.

Saint Anselm opens the 2025 season on the road with a non-conference tilt at Pace on August 30. While the game won't count in the NE10 standings, it will be a preview of a key conference clash later in the year. The Setters have won five of the last six meetings, including a double-overtime victory in 2024.

From there, the Hawks head to Massachusetts to face Merrimack on September 6. This will be the first meeting between the longtime rivals since the 2021 season opener—and only the second matchup since Merrimack moved to Division I in 2019.

After a bye week, Saint Anselm kicks off NE10 play with a Friday night showdown at Assumption on September 19. The Hawks have won two straight in the series, including an overtime thriller last season.

Grappone Stadium will come alive for the home opener on Family Weekend, as the Hawks welcome Pace for a rematch on September 27.

The team hits the road again on October 4 to face Post, a program the Hawks have handled well—owning a 3-0 record in the all-time series, including a 56-28 rout last season.

Saint Anselm returns home on October 11 to host in-state rival Franklin Pierce. The Hawks are 5-0 all-time against the Ravens, with four of those wins coming by double digits.

On October 18, American International (AIC) visits Manchester as Saint Anselm looks to extend its win streak to six games in the series.

The Hawks will hit the road again on October 25 to take on Southern Connecticut State. The series has been evenly matched in recent years, with the teams alternating wins each season since 2018.

Homecoming Weekend arrives on November 1, when the Hawks host Bentley in their final home game and final NE10 regular-season contest. Bentley swept the Hawks in two meetings last season, including a 3-0 defensive slugfest in Manchester.

Saint Anselm wraps up its regular season on November 8 with a second meeting against Post—this time in a non-conference matchup. It marks the first time the two programs will face each other twice in the same season.
