NE10 Outdoor Championship Day One Recap: Three Medal for Women's Track & Field

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Saint Anselm women's track & field finished up day one at the NE10 Outdoor Championship with two podium finishes and multiple other student-athletes clinching their spots in the finals tomorrow.

  • Saint Anselm will compete again tomorrow with events beginning at 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 3rd. 


HIGHLIGHTS (DAY ONE):

  • Sophomore Sophia Morin (Brunswick, Maine) earned a silver medal in the javelin with a career-best throw of 42.05m—nearly two meters clear of the bronze. She also scored points in the hammer throw, placing sixth with a mark of 45.06m.

  • Senior Nora Conway (Stoneham, Mass.) took silver in the 10,000m, crossing the line in 40:21.27.

  • Senior Ava O'Donnell (Raynham, Mass.) grabbed bronze in the 1500m, cutting eight seconds off her previous personal best with a time of 4:41.03. She also advanced to the 800m finals after clocking in at 2:19.27.

  • Junior Harmony Marquez (Rutherford, N.J.) finished fourth in the javelin with a throw of 36.53m.

  • Sophomore Chloe Lawrence (Pocono Pines, Pa.) tied for fifth in the pole vault, clearing 2.75m.

  • Freshman Erica Korowski (Hudson, Mass.) placed sixth in the javelin with a 34.61m throw.

  • The 4x800m relay team of junior Kathryn Hynes (Windham, N.H.), sophomore Gracie Flynn (Somers, Conn.), junior Grace Perley (North Conway, N.H.), and sophomore Sophia Olsen (Rochester, N.H.) earned a sixth-place finish with a time of 10:43.83.

  • Freshman Tija Dilba (Framingham, Mass.) also cleared 2.75m in the pole vault to place seventh.

  • Junior Cara Morris (Walpole, Mass.) took seventh in the 10,000m, finishing in 42:22.87.

  • Junior Brianne Rett (Uxbridge, Mass.) threw a career-best 43.36m in the hammer, earning an eighth-place finish.

  • Junior Rebecca Cady (Lowell, Mass.) qualified for the finals in both the 100m (12.59) and 200m (25.36).

  • Freshman Reese Nicolosi (Pelham, N.H.) posted the top qualifying time in the 400m hurdles at 1:04.71. She'll be joined in the finals by freshman Petrina Ofori (Hudson, N.H.) with a time of 1:06.10 and sophomore Meredith Pasquarosa (Beverly, Mass.) at 1:07.00.

  • Freshman Sam Ducharme (Bedford, N.H.) won her 800m heat to qualify for the finals, finishing in 2:20.37.
