MANCHESTER, N.H. – Freshman goaltender Kayla Czukoski, the reigning New England Women's Hockey Alliance Rookie of the Week, made 50 saves as the Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team was handed a 2-0 loss by No. 12 Yale University on Tuesday evening at Sullivan Arena.

How it Happened
The Hawks were outshot 36-10 over the course of the first 40 minutes, with Czukoski stepping up to keep the game level at the second intermission.
The Bulldogs struck just 3:12 into the third on an offensive zone faceoff win, as Hannah Weyerhaeuser picked up the loose puck and beat Czukoski with a far-side shot from the bottom of the circle to make it 1-0. Yale struck again just 1:06 later to double its lead as Mariya Rauf tipped in a shot from the point for the game's final goal.

Saint Anselm (5-6-0, 5-1-0 NEWHA) will return to action with a weekend series at Post University (3-8-1, 3-2-1 NEWHA) over the weekend at the Sports Center of Connecticut. The Hawks and Eagles will drop the puck in game one of the series on Friday, Nov. 7 at 8:00 p.m. before hitting the ice for a Saturday matinee, set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
