LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Saint Anselm women's bowling team competed in the second day of the DII Thanksgiving Invite hosted by Lewis University at Kingpin Lanes, on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened
The Hawks opened the day with a Traditional match against the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, falling 874-1011, followed by a loss to the University of Central Missouri, 844-933.
Saint Anselm bounced back with a dominate 812-561 victory over Barton College.
In the fourth Traditional match, the Hawks were defeated by the University of Indianapolis, 791-922.
Saint Anselm closed out the day with a narrow 857-864 loss to Walsh University (Ohio).
Across five Traditional matches, the Hawks averaged 169.6 across five matches and finished the second day of competition in ninth place.
Sophomore
Katy McNemar led Saint Anselm, finishing 13th out of 88 bowlers in the individual standings. McNemar finished with an average score of 197.20 across five matches.
Sophomore
Ashlee Hess finished in 29th in the individual standings, averaging 176.60 across five matches. Hess finished just ahead of junior
Callie Goulet who finished 31st with a 162.20 average score.
Freshman
Dannesia Lawrence came in 38th in the individual standings with an average score of 136.20.
Freshman
Caroline Smead finished 49th in the individual standings after competing in three out of the five matches, and earned an average score of 173.67.
Rounding out the Hawks was freshman
Charlee Gallione who came in 64th in the individual standings, posting an average score of 148 over three matches.

The Hawks return to compete in the third and final day of competition at the DII Thanksgiving Invite. Saint Anselm will compete in a series of Baker matches, followed by two best of seven match play games.
