Tim Frye '11 enters his fourth season as head coach of the Saint Anselm College women's bowling team, having been named the program’s inaugural head coach on December 21, 2021. A Saint Anselm graduate, Frye launched the Hawks' first-ever women's bowling team, which began competition in the 2022–23 academic year.
In 2024–25, Frye guided the team to its most successful season to date, tripling its win total from the previous year with 34 victories. The season was highlighted by a third-place finish at the Daemen Storm Fall Invitational. The program also secured its first four wins over nationally ranked opponents, including two victories over No. 23 Delaware State and wins against No. 14 Merrimack and No. 20 Fairleigh Dickinson. The latter two ranked wins came at the Ebonite Hawks Soar Higher Open—the first home event in program history.
Frye has coached three All-ECC selections. Madison Gentes became the program’s first all-conference honoree, earning a spot on the Second Team in 2023. This past season, Callie Goulet and Katy McNemar were both named to the All-ECC Third Team.
Since arriving as an undergraduate in 2007, Frye has sought to be a resource for bowlers in the New Hampshire community. He served as head coach of the Souhegan High School (Amherst, N.H.) bowling team from 2009 to 2022, leading the Sabers to an NHIAA State Championship in 2013. During that time, he was also an active member of the NHIAA Bowling Committee and was named Assistant Chair in 2014. From 2021 to 2023, he served as pro shop manager at Yankee Lanes in Manchester—the home of the Hawks.
Frye graduated in 2011 with a degree in history and currently resides in Loudon, N.H., with his wife, Olivia, and their five children: Audrey, Marshall, Cora, Elsie, and Ivette.
