GILBERT, Ariz. – Saint Anselm College women's tennis seniors Irene Garbo and Natalia Gonzalez Ramos were regionally ranked by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association following a strong fall semester performance. Garbo, the Hawks' No. 1 singles player, earned an individual ranking, while the tandem earned a doubles ranking as the team's top pairing.

Garbo was placed eighth in the East Region after posting a 7-1 singles record in the fall. Her best performance came in a loss at Assumption University on Oct. 15 in which she defeated Marie Knispel by a score of 6-0, 6-0. Garbo also competed in the ITA East Regionals, making it to the quarterfinals of the tournament before falling to Sixtine Goubet of Queens College (N.Y.) in a tiebreak. She was named the Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Week on Oct. 21 following a 4-0 showing over two conference matches at the No. 1 doubles and singles courts, which included the Hawks' first victory over Bentley University since 2022.

Garbo and Gonzalez Ramos compiled a 6-3 record at No. 1 doubles, including a 6-1 victory over Lucy McPherson and Emma Gredenhag of Saint Michael's College back in the NE10 opener on Sep. 13.

The Hawks are 4-4 overall and 3-4 in conference following the fall semester schedule. Their four wins marks the best start through eight matches since the 2023-24 campaign.
