NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass.Four members of the Saint Anselm College women's volleyball team were voted onto Northeast 10 All-Conference and All-Rookie Teams as part of the conference's yearly awards, the league announced on Wednesday.

After just one NE10 All-Conference honoree a season ago, head coach Anna Platek has guided the Hawks to double the total and added two All-Rookie Team members in just her second year at the helm of the program. The two All-Conference honorees mark the most for the Hawks since 2023, and the two All-Rookie Team members are tied for the most in program history, matching 2014's two recipients.

Junior outside hitter Hollyn Frano was picked for the NE10's All-Conference Third Team, her third consecutive season earning a yearly honor from the conference. The former NE10 Rookie of the Year has now achieved All-Conference Third Team status twice, while also being on the All-Conference Second Team last season.

Frano, who was just named NE10 Player of the Week on Monday, finished her season ranked fifth in the conference with 230 kills, the most on the Hawks. Frano also leads the team in points (261), while being fourth on the team in digs (162). Frano recorded 10+ kills in 10 matches and had four double-doubles on the season. Frano also led the team in reception percentage with a .938 mark on 307 attempts.

Frano's season was highlighted by a record-tying performance against Southern New Hampshire on Nov. 11, when she recorded 21 kills, tied for the most in a three-set match in program history, hitting at a .514 attack percentage in the win. Her 21 kills were also the most by any NE10 student-athlete in a three-set match since 2021.

Joining Frano on the All-Conference Third Team is junior libero Madeline Burke, who is tops on the team and ranks second in the conference with 376 digs, 3.97 per set, a career-high mark defending the back line for the Hawks.

Burke eclipsed double-digit digs in 21 of the 25 matches played this season, including 20+ digs in seven. Burke also ranked second on the team with 79 assists and also had 30 service aces, the third-best mark on the Hawks. Burke had the highest volume of receptions on the team with 485 serves coming her way, returning 438 of them.

Freshman setter Mckenna O'Connell debuts on the NE10 All-Rookie Team after a stellar rookie year, finishing the season ranked second in the conference with 810 assists. This marks the most assists in a season for a Hawk since Michelle Henwood had 891 in 2022. This is also the third-most assists by a freshman for Saint Anselm in program history. Henwood had 1,073, and Kathleen McCarthy, '06, recorded 1,081 assists in their rookie seasons.

O'Connell led the team with 11 double-doubles, the most by a Hawk since Henwood had 17 in 2022. The freshman from Bedford, N.H., leads the team in attack percentage at .260, finishing the season with 65 kills and just 12 attack errors. She also ranks second on the team with 242 digs and fourth on the team with 25 service aces. O'Connell added six solo blocks and 15 block assists for 21 total, the third most on Saint Anselm. O'Connell earned NE10 Rookie of the Week honors once this season.

Freshman middle blocker Peyton Elward also earned NE10 All-Rookie Team honors, picking up the award after playing in 25 matches, starting in 24 of them. Elward was named NE10 Rookie of the Week once this season, leading the Hawks with 55 total blocks. Elward had a team-high 19 solo blocks and 36 block assists while also ranking second on the Hawks with 36 service aces.

Elward added 165 kills, the third-most on the team, on an efficient .248 clip, which puts her just behind O'Connell. Elward finished the season with three consecutive errorless matches, recording 23 kills and posting attack percentages of .421, .563, and .429 during the streak. In total, Elward had six errorless performances and scored 237 points, the second-most on the team.

Saint Anselm finished its 2025 season with a 12-13 record and a 4-5 mark in NE10 play, falling in the NE10 Quarterfinals against American International College last night.
