SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The No. 6-seeded Saint Anselm College women's volleyball team had its season come to an end at Henry A. Butova Gymnasium on Tuesday, falling in three sets against the No. 3-seeded American International College in the quarterfinal round of the Northeast 10 Conference Championship tournament.

- Sophomore Taylor Lacerda recorded a team-best seven kills with two digs, while freshman Peyton Elward had her third consecutive game without an attacking error, tallying six kills on a .429 efficiency mark with a service ace.
- The Hawks fell in their fifth straight game to the Yellow Jackets, dropping to 10-34 all-time against AIC.
- Junior Madeline Burke led the team with 10 digs while adding four assists and an ace. Freshman Mckenna O'Connell recorded a team-high 23 assists to go with four digs, two kills, and a solo block.
How it Happened
SET 1 | The first four points of the set went to American Int'l as they started the match on a roll, carrying their momentum to an impressive .467 attack percentage with 16 kills in the set as the Yellow Jackets took the first, 25-14.
SET 2 | AIC kicked off the second set with an ace, but the Hawks had their kills falling, going back-and-forth with the Yellow Jackets as they trailed by just one, 13-12, with seven kills and no attack errors by Saint Anselm. Junior
Miia Dembski's third kill of the set, followed by an ace from Burke, tied the score at 14-14, but an 11-7 run by AIC ended the set and gave them a 2-0 match lead, 25-21.
SET 3 | The Hawks fell behind early, 4-1, but a kill from freshman
Etta Rocco and three from Elward put Saint Anselm in front 8-7. The Yellow Jackets went on another run to take a three-point lead, 13-10, but Saint Anselm responded again, this time with four consecutive kills, two from Lacerda, and two from Elward, to make the score 15-14 in favor of the Hawks. After an AIC timeout, the Yellow Jackets scored the next four points and ended the match on an 11-3 run, winning the frame, 25-18.
