ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Anselm College women's bowling team competed in the second day of the Destination Florida Tournament, squaring off with five traditional matches on Saturday.
How it Happened
The Hawks opened the second day with a Traditional match against Alabama A&M University in a closely contested loss of 778-790.
Saint Anselm then faced the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, dropping a 867-1058 decision, before falling to Wichita State University, 970-732.
In their final two matches the day, the Hawks were edged by North Carolina A&T State University, 813-990, and by Maryville College, 842-898.
Sophomore Katy McNemar led the way for the Saint Anselm, finishing 60th out of 168 bowlers in the individual standings and posted the team-best average score 173 across five matches.
Junior Callie Goulet followed closely behind finishing 62nd in the individual standings and averaging of 172.20. Rounding out the Hawks' top three was sophomore Ashlee Hess who finished 70th in the with an average score of 162.40.

The Saint Anselm College women's bowling team will return on Sunday for the third and final day of competition at the Destination Florida Tournament. The Hawks will square off in Baker-format bracket play with matches scheduled against Emmanuel University, Florida A&M University, and Prairie View A&M University.
