NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Saint Anselm College football sophomore linebacker Jason Paganis was named the Northeast 10 Conference (NE10) Defensive Player of the Week following a breakout performance in Saturday's 27-14 victory over American International College, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Paganis had a breakout performance for the Hawks, recording eight total tackles, with 3.5 tackles for a loss, and three sacks. His three sacks totaled 21 yards lost for the Yellow Jackets' offense. Prior to Saturday's NE10 clash at Graponne Stadium, the Billerica, Mass. native had just three tackles to his credit.

Paganis and the Hawks (5-2, 4-1 NE10), winners of their last four games, will hit the road on Saturday, Oct. 25 for a showdown against Southern Connecticut State University (2-4, 2-1 NE10). Kickoff from Jess Dow Field is slated for 1:00 p.m.
