SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team fell to the University of Vermont, 3-1, on the second day of the Ice Breaker Tournament, hosted by Union College, on Saturday afternoon at the M&T Bank Center.

- Freshman netminder Kayla Czukoski made 38 saves in the setback.
- Sophomore Kismet Dogan recorded her first goal of the season.

- Sophomore Justyce Ohlgren led the team with two blocked shots.
- Vermont went 0-for-3 on the powerplay, as Czukoski made seven saves over six penalty kill minutes.
How it Happened
Vermont got on the board at 9:05 of the first period on a goal scored by Stella Retrum. The Catamounts doubled their lead 2:15 into the second period as Julia Mesplede posted a goal.
The Hawks responded with 7:46 to play in the second period as sophomore Kismet Dogan finished a breakaway chance on the backhand to cut the deficit to one.
With 5:12 remaining in the third, Vermont put the game out of reach with an insurance goal off the stick of Oona Havana.
