Saint Anselm Football Signs Tyler Mortimer Through Team IMPACT

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Saint Anselm College head football coach Joe Adam and the Hawks have announced a new team member, signing 14-year-old Tyler Mortimer through Team IMPACT. 
 
Tyler, who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, was officially introduced at a signing day press conference on Friday, August 30 on campus. He will participate in many activities with the team including games, practices, and other team events. 
 
Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience. 
 
"Team IMPACT is excited to see Tyler join the Hawks," said Emma Simches, Regional Director of Programs, Northeast at Team IMPACT. "We are proud to work alongside Saint Anselm, their athletic department, and coaching staff to create lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes between student-athletes and their Team IMPACT teammates."
 
Saint Anselm has worked with Team IMPACT for the past 13 years, matching 16 children across several varsity athletic teams.
 
"We are thrilled to add Tyler to our brotherhood," said coach Adam. "The heartbeat of our Saint Anselm community is connection, and we immediately felt that when we met Tyler. He represents our number one signee for the 2024 season. We are excited to have him and his family along for the journey this season and in the future."
