Hawks Sweep Plymouth State 7-0 on Tuesday

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team picked up their second win on the season against non-conference opponent Plymouth State on Tuesday by a 7-0 final.
 
UP NEXT:
  • The Hawks will host non-conference opponent Endicott College on Friday September 13th with a 4:00 p.m. start time.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Hawks started the match hot by winning all three double matches, highlighted by the No. 1 doubles pair of juniors Irene Garbo (Sardinia, Italy) and Camila Heredia Osante (Oaxaca, Mexico) winning, 6-1, in a very quick fashion. 
  • In singles action, Garbo continued to show reasoning behind her player of the week honors winning 6-0, 6-0. First year Alyssa Conley (Windham, Me.) won her singles slot (No. 6) by a 6-1, 6-0 final. 
  • All around, the Hawks come out with dominant wins with Plymouth State unable to score more than two points in any match. 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Garbo picked up her third singles win moving to 3-0, and second doubles win on the season. Conley moves to 1-1 in singles action and 2-0 with her doubles partner, junior Erin Motherway (Stonington, Conn.)
