MANCHESTER, N.H. - Graduate student Ryan Slattery (North Andover, Mass.) of the Saint Anselm men's lacrosse team was named to the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division II Academic All-America® Men's At-Large Team. Slattery earned CSC Academic All-America First Team honors for the first time in his collegiate career. 

Slattery added CSC Academic All-America to his list of accolades collected over the 2023-24 season. The North Andover native was named the USILA North Region Defensive Player of the Year and the Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season. He also became the first-ever four-time All-American for the program after earning All-America First Team recognition the past three seasons and an Honorable Mention nod as a sophomore in 2021. 

The four-time All-North Region and All-Conference selection wrapped up his career on the Hilltop as the program's all-time leader in caused turnovers with 97. Additionally, he ranks second in team history with 1.49 caused turnovers per game. Slattery's team-high 25 caused turnovers in 2024 slotted him ninth overall in the league. The long pole, who started in all 17 games for the Hawks this spring, finished the season with 36 ground balls and led one of the top defensive units in the nation this season that allowed the second-fewest goals per game in the conference and the 11th-fewest in all of NCAA Division II.
