NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Three student-athletes from the nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College women's lacrosse team earned spots on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-East Region teams, announced by the organization last Wednesday. Senior
Erin Doyle (Weymouth, Mass.) collected First Team honors, while senior
Jess Sullivan (Wrentham, Mass.) and junior
Elizabeth Driscoll (Marblehead, Mass.) earned Second Team honors.
Doyle, a Northeast-10 (NE10) All-Conference First Team selection, earns All-East Region honors for the first time in her career following an impressive senior season on the Hilltop. A defender and co-captain for the Hawks, Doyle started in all 18 games this spring and led the squad with 67 draw controls, a figure that was tied for 10th-most in the NE10. Doyle also led Saint Anselm and was fourth in the conference with a career-best 32 caused turnovers while also finishing second on the team and sixth in the league with 39 ground balls.
On April 30 at the College of Saint Rose, Doyle set a new career-high with 16 draw controls, a figure that is the second-most in a single game in program history. Her 162 career draw controls is tied for fourth all-time in the program record book, while her 72 caused turnovers ranks second.
Sullivan also earns All-East Region honors for the first time after being named to the NE10's All-Conference Second Team. The senior attacker was the team's leading scorer with 45 goals in 18 starts this season, including 14 multi-goal games. She also led the team in points with 76 and was second on the squad with a career-best 31 assists.
Sullivan ended the season in sixth place in the league in points and concludes her decorated career on the Hilltop with 147 goals and 90 assists for 237 points. In the program record book, Sullivan is fifth all-time in goals, second in assists, and fourth in points. She is one of just six student athletes in team history to surpass 200 points in a career.
Driscoll, an All-East Region First Team honoree a season ago, earns a spot on this year's Second Team roster. Last season's NE10 Goaltender of the Year and Honorable Mention All-American, Driscoll now becomes a two-time NE10 All-Conference and IWLCA All-East Region recipient. Driscoll logged 975 minutes and started every game in the cage during the 2024 campaign while posting double-digit saves six times. Her 152 stops were second-most in the NE10, while her team-leading 41 ground balls was fourth-most in the conference.
The junior netminder also posted a 10.4 goals against average (fifth-best in the NE10) and a .474 save percentage (fourth-best in the NE10) while earning 11 wins. Driscoll is now fourth in program history with 330 career saves, third with a .498 save percentage, and third with a 9.95 goals against average. She is four wins away from becoming the program's all-time leader in career wins for a goaltender.
The IWLCA has honored 128 student-athletes in Division II with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2024, including 32 on the First and Second Teams from the East Region. Out of those 32 East Region selections, 25 came from the NE10. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to Division II IWLCA All-America teams, which will be released on May 22.
