One run scored on a wild pitch and another on a groundout to the shortstop, allowing Saint Rose to put two runs up on the board.
- Saint Anselm starting pitcher Matthew Michel (Haverhill, Mass.) bounced back in the top of the second, retiring the side including a strikeout for the third and final out.
- The Hawks tied up the score at 2-2 in the bottom of the second. Sophomore Brenden Harris (Altamont, N.Y.) led off the inning with his second home run of the season, a line drive shot to right-center field. Saint Anselm then put two more runners on base after walking twice, and senior Aidan Dow (Lynn, Mass.) drove one home with a single to right to even the score.
- With two outs in the top of the third inning, Michel allowed a single and a double that put runners in scoring position for Saint Rose, but got out of the jam after forcing a groundout to end the inning.
- In the top of the fourth, the Golden Knights took the lead back when the eighth batter in the lineup, Ethan Farina, deposited a two-run homer over the left field fence to make it a 4-2 game. Saint Rose added another run in the top of the sixth after another long ball from the ninth batter, Kenyon Motley, to take a three-run lead.
- In the bottom of the seventh, Saint Anselm looked to be threatening with runners on the corners and two outs, but a pop up to third base ended the inning.
- Saint Rose plated another run in the top of the eighth. Jack Griffin led off the inning with a triple to center field and then scored on an infield single by James Ward that made it 6-2.
- After five consecutive innings without a run, Saint Anselm got back on the board in the bottom of the eighth. The Hawks again put runners on the corners with two away and freshman Austin Brune (Billerica, Mass.) singled up the middle that scored one to make it 6-3. The Golden Knights got out of trouble, forcing a groundout with two runners on to limit the damage and head to the final inning with a three-run advantage.
- Senior Nolan Elmore (Brentwood, N.H.) doubled to left field and another Hawk got on base after being hit by a pitch, bringing the tying runner to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. However, a strikeout ended the game and Saint Rose held on for the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Game 2):
- Scoring again in the top of the first inning to take the early lead was Saint Rose. Venditti got on base to start the game after a throwing error and was then pushed over to third after a single by Ward. The Golden Knights then ran a double steal to near perfection, sacrificing Ward at second base so Venditti could score to make it 1-0.
- Saint Anselm got the bats going in the bottom of the second, posting five runs to take a commanding 5-1 lead. Sophomore Ben Rose (Webster, N.H.) got on base with a bunt single and sophomore Steven Betty (Lowell, Mass.) walked. With two outs, Brune doubled down the left field line that brought both runners to the plate to give the Hawks a 2-1 lead.
- The home team was not done and continued their two-out rally. Dow lined a single up the middle to score Brune and the Hawks loaded the bases after a single by Elmore and a walk by freshman Mavrick Bourdeau (Billerica, Mass.). A single to left field by sophomore Shea Howrigan (Enosburg Falls, Vt.) plated two more runs and gave Saint Anselm five for the inning.
- A two-out RBI double by Mike Benedetto in the top of the third helped Saint Roes trim the deficit to three runs, but Saint Anselm put another up in the bottom half of the inning. The Hawks again loaded the bases with two outs and junior Jax Budgell (Newburyport, Mass.) scored on a balk by the Golden Knights pitcher to make it 6-2.
- The Golden Knights responded in a big way during the top of the fourth inning, scoring five runs of their own to take back the lead, 7-6. Two batters walked and another was hit by a pitch, loading the bases for Saint Rose with just one out. Ward then drove two home with a double to center to cut Saint Anselm's lead in half.
- An RBI single by Louis Gendron made it 6-5 and with a runner on third, Nathan Toms grounded out to short which tied the score. With two outs in the inning and a runner on second, Benedetto doubled to left which allowed the Golden Knights to take a one-run lead.
- Saint Rose plated two more runs in the top of the fifth inning to extend their advantage to 9-6 courtesy of Farina smashing another home run over the left field fence.
- In the bottom of the sixth, Dow was hit by a pitch to lead things off. Elmore then stepped into the batter's box and crushed a two-run shot to left, allowing Saint Anselm to pull within one run with the score 9-8.
- However, the Golden Knights had another big inning in the top of the seventh, scoring five more runs to take a 14-8 lead and ultimately pull away. Farina launched another two-run home run, his second of the game and third of the doubleheader. With two outs, Toms smacked a three-run shot to left-center to give Saint Rose a six-run lead.
- The Hawks went down in order in the bottom half of the inning and fell by a 14-8 final score in the shortened second game of the twinbill.
