MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team advanced past SUNY Brockport on Friday afternoon after a nine-round shootout to advance to the Buffalo State Bengals Classic title game. Sophomore goaltender
Cam Carroll (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) made 32 saves in the game, while senior
Hunter Brackett (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and sophomore
Patrick DeMarinis (Manasquan, N.J.) each scored their first goals of the season.

- SUNY Brockport held a 34-23 advantage in shots on goal during the game. The Golden Eagles doubled up the Hawks in shots on goal in the third period, 12-6.
- The battle at the faceoff dot was very even with Saint Anselm winning 34 of 70 (48.6 percent) and SUNY Brockport winning 36 of 70 (51.4 percent).
- Senior Max Burum (Marshfield, Mass.) led the Hawks with 11 faceoff wins out of 20 attempts (55.0 percent), while junior Cam Collins (Raynham, Mass.) led the Hawks in faceoff percentage by winning nine out of his 15 draws (60.0 percent).
- Saint Anselm blocked eight shots in the contest compared to two blocked shots by their opposition.
- Both teams combined to go 0/8 on power plays, with SUNY Brockport going 0/5 with six shots.
- Brackett and DeMarinis provided the two goals for the Hawks, both of which came unassisted, while Spencer Flansburg and Victor Malzahn each scored for the Golden Eagles.
- Carroll posted 32 saves in goal for the Hawks, while Cole Hudson made 21 stops in goal for the Golden Eagles.
- This marked the second all-time meeting between these two programs with the only other matchup taking place during the 1994-95 season when SUNY Brockport was known as Brockport State. That game ended in a 3-3 overtime tie.
