- The two teams exchanged scoring chances in the first five minutes with Pecor of Saint Anselm and Ruby Conroy of Franklin Pierce having their shots saved by the opposing goalkeepers.
- The Ravens started to generate some momentum with several scoring opportunities over the next 25 minutes of action. The hosts forced two saves out of Hawks freshman goalkeeper Samantha Swidorski (Woodbury, Minn.) and produced four corner kicks during that span.
- Franklin Pierce got on the board first in the 33rd minute after a goal by Olivia Kudrikow made it 1-0, Ravens.
- Saint Anselm provided an immediate answer with the game-tying goal less than two minutes later. DiGilio set up Pecor for her second goal of the season, making it 1-1 at the 34:39 mark of the first half. The score remained tied at halftime.
- DiGilio put the first shot on goal of the second half just over a minute in, but that was collected by Franklin Pierce goalkeeper Emilie Fox.
- Brigid Moore and Jenni Huttunen fired the game's next two shots on target for the Ravens, but Swidorski denied both to keep the game tied.
- In the 67th minute, the Hawks pulled ahead on the first goal of Doyle's career with DiGilio assisting. That tally gave the visitors their first lead of the night, 2-1.
- Neither side created anything in their attacking halves after that until the 85th minute when Olivia Crespo finished a feed from Devon Schmitt, which tied the score with a little over five minutes remaining.
- There were no more shots for either team as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
