MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team has been picked as the Northeast-10 Conference favorites for the 2024 season, according to the league's annual Preseason Coaches' Poll revealed on Wednesday.

The Hawks collected 76 points along with four first-place votes to rank them first overall in the preseason poll, edging out Bentley University in second place who also earned 76 points, but collected just two first-place votes. Adelphi University garnered the remaining four first-place votes of the poll and 74 points to take third. Pace University (56) and Southern New Hampshire University (44) rounded out the top five in the poll.

Saint Anselm wrapped up their 2023 campaign with a 10-5 overall record and was 7-3 in conference play to secure the fifth seed in the NE10 postseason. Since the 2019 season, the Hawks have enjoyed a 43-20 overall record for a 68.3 winning percentage. The 2023 squad earned its third consecutive berth into the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship and captured their second win in the tournament after defeating nationally ranked No. 8 Mercy University in the First Round.

The Hawks are set to open the regular season hosting Molloy on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Grappone Stadium. The complete schedule of games for the 2024 season will be released in the coming days.
