MANCHESTER, N.H. – Kevin Jordan '23 and
Allie Kelley '23 collected the Saint Anselm College Chancellor's Medal at the College's 127th Commencement Exercises on Saturday.
The Chancellor's Medal is awarded to the student or students with the highest grade-point average of the graduating class by the Abbot of Saint Anselm Abbey and Chancellor of Saint Anselm College. The Chancellor's Medal is the highest academic honor Saint Anselm College bestows on a graduating student.
Jordan, a Finance major from the men's soccer program and Kelley, a Natural Sciences major from the women's ice hockey program, were honored with the Chancellor's Awards for the highest grade-point average of 4.00.
Jordan started in all 15 games he appeared in in 2022 for the Hawks men's soccer squad and recorded one assist for one point as an integral part of the Hawks midfield group. The assist, which came against Saint Rose on Sept. 20 was the first assist and point of Jordan's collegiate career.
After the 2022 season, Jordan collected College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors and was named to the Fall Northeast-10 Conference Academic All-Conference team. In his academic career, Jordan has been named to the Saint Anselm Dean's List seven times and is a seven-time selection to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll. The senior also collected the Saint Anselm Athletics Senior Male Scholar- Athlete of the Year Award at the End of Year Highlights & Awards Presentation.
Kelley started in 37 games in the goal for the women's ice hockey team and posted a 17-17-3 record with a 2.93 goals-against average and a 0.914 save percentage. Kelley set a program record for saves in a single season with 1,170 and aided the Hawks to their fifth consecutive appearance in the New England Women's Hockey Alliance Championship game.
In her time on the Hilltop, Kelley has been named to the Hockey Commissioners Association National Goalie of the Year "Watch List", to the NEWHA All-Academic Team, and to the Saint Anselm Dean's List on three occasions. The East Berne, N.Y. native was selected as a Krampade/American Hockey Coaches Association All-American Scholar following the 2021-22 season as well as to the All-NEWHA Second Team.
